Let them eat cupcakes?

In an effort to be a superstar maid of honor, I’ve been trying to help bride no. 3 with details and decoration ideas more than I was able to help my first two brides.
We were bouncing around wedding cake ideas soon after she became engaged. She’s frustrated with the idea of paying thousands of dollars for a cake, cramping her budget, because her finance and her both dislike cake, especially most cakes they’ve been served at weddings.
I’m proud to say I came up with a solution, cupcakes. With some planning ahead, they can be both classy and budget friendly. In larger cities, a cupcake craze has ensued making them also fashionable.
When I came across this Etsy, a network of homemade product sellers and buyers, shop, I was thrilled. I just recently discovered Etsy and have been ansy to support these wonderful self-made entrepreneurs.
Yummy Cuppy Crafts makes cup cake holders that aren’t unforgettable wrappers, but decorative artworks, perfect for a wedding. So far, I’ve found the above design that would be perfect, and since the wedding is over a year away have time to check out any later additions.
Bride no. 3 is my sister, and our mother didn’t like the cupcake idea. What do you think?

Engaged- Your mom is like our mom! Maybe they think we’ll regret the more trendy option later. I do see their point…
Kirstie- That’s a great idea. Who doesn’t like cheesecake, yum!
My step daughter was just married this past weekend and her cake was about $450.00. Can I also say it tasted like crap. She would have loved the idea of cup cakes. I wish I would have thought of that then. Thanks for the idea. I will surely use it next time. I still have 2 boys and a younger girl to go.
