Seems saying no isn’t an option when it comes to being a bridesmaid

Published by kristineb at 6:12 am under Uncategorized Edit This

A follow-up to my post from yesterday about whether there is an appropriate way to say no to a request to be a bridesmaid.

A couple of readers reported being under severe financial and life event stress or facing exuberant requests from brides ($600 for a dress?!?), and still felt trapped into walking down the aisle.

I’m interested to know if anyone has a story of a situation they said no and remained friends with the bride-to-be, so please leave a comment if you have.

These comments are an indicator of the great participation I’ve seen in my first month. Thought I’d take the opportunity to give everyone a big thank you.

I’ve gotten such thoughtful comments that really added to my posts and so many of you have added to the conversation, wanted to take a moment to thank all of my readers. I don’t always get a chance to respond, but try to follow-up. If I missed you, thank you!
