Never a bride

Published by kristineb at 2:38 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

When my sister got engaged, and asked me to be a bridesmaids and after the initial moment of joy for her subsided, I quickly realized I was soon to be “three times a bridesmaid.” I’m not highly superstitious, but couldn’t help thinking of the old line, “three times a bridesmaid, never a bride.”

I’m happy to report the old wives tale isn’t true. My boyfriend of two years proposed last week! The moment was a surprise, but we’d been talking engagement since we met two years ago and had recently gone ring shopping.I was surprised by a family heirloom sent to us by his mother. The ring and moment we’re perfect. Pictures and a longer engagement story will be following soon. At the moment we’re taking the first trip to his hometown as an engaged couple to see his family. And I’m posting from my phone.

So how does the big news impact my blog, and what can my readers expect? More! I’ll be keeping with the bridesmaids theme, but as a newly engaged bridezilla, will also be sharing my wedding planning adventure.and, yes, I’ll still be posting tons of ugly dresses of the day, but will be including all types of wedding attire. And, I’ll still share stories and ideas based on my bridesmaid experiences. Of course, I’ll share my search for not so ugly bridesmaids dresses for my gals. I’m thinking a fall wedding, any bridesmaids dresses ideas?
