I suspect that some fabric company collects all the dye that no one wants and mixes it into vats of dyes reserved just for brides' maids dresses? Have you ever seen normal clothes in those weird, off-shades of moss, aqua and apricot? My friend had a "women only" party--and asked everyone to wear one of the brides' maids dresses they'd been forced to buy in the past. She figured it was the only way anyone would get more than one wearing out of them. Where do they get these colors?
