Yes, it's very common to feel that crushing feeling of overwhelm before the wedding! Stay calm!!! (Try a little yoga, on On Demand!) What really REALLY helped me was the planning book that JC Penny gives you if you register. It's a binder and it has folder and workbook in it. It has EVERYTHING and holds it all. Definitely go get one. You can see if you want to register there. If not, register anyway!!! It's worth it!!! =D

Thank you so much for all the advice Manda! I think I need to simplify, realize I have much time, and relax. The checklist at Offbeat Bride has really helped.

Hey, Don't worry, it's normal to feel overwhelmed, I know I'm feeling overwhelmed and I only have two months left until my wedding, but I've been engaged for over a year now. We wanted a lot of time to plan as well. I don't think anyone realizes how stressful it can be to plan a whole wedding by yourself or with only a few people helping you. Like you said there are SO MANY decisions to make, so MANY people to talk to and decide on and it's just INSANE! I haven't been sleeping well, thinking about all the things I still have to get in order for the day and it's just nuts. I know I've been super stressed lately, seeing as how we are paying for a lot of the wedding expenses and my fiance was laid off a few months ago, not to mention that I'm stressed about keeping my job. So, yeah, it's normal to feel overwhelmed because you have to save the money up for it, budget your money and spend very WISELY when it comes to your expenses for your wedding, plus do all the planning and everything in between, you'll be facing things you probably haven't even thought of yet, like how do I want the napkin at the reception folded? Do I want to have a champagne toast? Is everyone that comes to the wedding going to make it to the reception too? Are people even going to stay in the hotel that I've reserved rooms for them at? Who all is actually going to RSVP and come to the wedding out of the 110 people on the guest list? There are so many questions and so many decisions, it will drive you bonkers. I know I'm going banana's, even though everyone around me is saying what a great job I've done getting it all pulled together and stuff. I hadn't even thought about a bachelorette party or wedding shower type of thing, so my friends and family are doing that for me, but to me that's who should be doing it. I definitely don't need anymore to worry about doing at the moment. Just take a deep breath and realize you do have LOTS of time right now on your side and you just try to take it slow. If it becomes too overwhelming get your fiance or someone to help you out any way they can. Take a day off of wedding planning every now and then and take a bubble bath or light candles and try not to even think about it for a day or two. Then you can refocus on it and come at it stronger. This is my advice at least. By the way, I would like to make a recommendation on invitations. This was a very inexpensive and good quality site to order your invitations from. I am very pleased with their service and quality for the price. You can buy invitations from them fairly cheap, they'll make them up for you and e-mail you a copy of them in PDF version for you to view to make sure everything is correct, once you approve, they'll print them and mail them to you via UPS. I received mine in a very prompt manner. I definitely recommend and suggest them, give them a look: www.simpleweddinginvites.com
