When my sister pulled her left hand out of her clutch and showed me her gorgeous new engagement ring, I was of course immediately filled with joy for her, but then I begin to think, of the old superstition, “three times a bridesmaid, never a bride.” Could it be true? Only time will tell. But, at the very least I decided my three walks down the aisle, with extremely different brides, would give me plenty of great writing material.

Update: I’m happy to report that as of January, 29, 2009, the myth of three times a bridesmaid is well on it’s way to being proven wrong. That’s the day I became engaged to my boyfriend of two years, Benjamin. So, now my blog will combine wedding planning for my sister, or Bride No. 3, and my own pre-nuptial coordination.
